Children in JK and SK programs at Turnbull School enjoy very small classes, yet with several groups, they also have a nice sized social group of children their own age. Their spacious, bright and modern classrooms offer a number of learning and activity centres in a nurturing and engaging environment.
Outdoors, the 5 1/2 acre fenced property includes two play structures and space just for the kindergarten children so that they can play outside every day that weather permits.
The JK and SK programs are taught by experienced teachers with B.Ed degrees and with strong backgrounds in early childhood education and child development, ensuring they can best provide for children to grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially.
Both the JK and SK programs are well rounded and enriching with a wide variety of learning opportunities that include hands on experiences and explorations. The curriculum reflects the importance of early literacy and numeracy activities, which are taught on a daily basis. It also includes daily physical education, French language classes using the AIM Method, as well as science, creative arts and computer time.

Turnbull School emphasizes developing early French skills and an enjoyment for the language in a natural way, without compromising the children's development of English literacy and numeracy skills. They are then well prepared for the primary grades (Grades 1 to 3) when 30% of their school week is taught in French.
