These group lessons for elementary students can be an alternative to one-to-one tutoring, offering a lower fee structure. They are one hour sessions with 2 or 3 students in each group and are offered at the Centre. Each student has an individualized program focusing on skill development or enrichment. The teacher has work and materials prepared for each student that is suited to his/her needs and offers a combination of direct instruction and supervised work with specialized programs to reinforce the skills taught. In this way, individual programs can be implemented and progress tracked closely. The tutors are in contact with the classroom teachers and parents, similar to the one-to-one tutoring services.
