Summer / Tutoring Assessments
Students enrolling in our summer SkillBoosters, or one-to-one Tutoring at any time of year, will find an initial academic assessment of great benefit to their program.  This is an optional educational assessment of skills (reading, comprehension, spelling, written expression, editing, mathematics).  

The results of the educational assessment are then used to design an individualized program for the student's summer learning or tutoring. Parents receive a graph of their child's results, showing a comparison to where they should be for their grade level.  They also receive an outline of the subtests used.

Assessments for tutoring take place at any time of year. Assessments for summer school take place in May or June, but can be offered later for those registering during the summer. If the student is presently being tutored by our Centre or if recent academic testing has occurred elsewhere and results can be shared with us, we can use this information in place of our summer assessment to design the student's individualized summer program.
